3 days from surgery

If you are on full fluids, there really isn't much to choose from other than apple juice, cranberry juice, other clear juices, diet jello and broth so a small fridge in the hotel room would be fine. If you meant to say full fluids then you'd still have lots of room as you'd need things like yogurt with no chunks, milk, protein shakes, creamed soups. You don't eat much the first few days so things like a can of soup could last you 3 to 4 meals. Hopefully you have a microwave in the room or at least in the lobby of the hotel so you can warm some things up so you don't get sick of all cold things.

If you must stay then a few packages of cream of wheat or oatmeal will last you 4 breakfasts and then some creamed soup or even cottage cheese will last you many lunches and dinners. You could also get some SF jello or SF pudding and a few protein shakes. When I had surgery, I had to stick around for 2 days after release then flew home and I had no problem with the small fridge and just using ho****er to make the other stuff.
I was just curious as to why you need to stay at a hotel for four additional days once you are released from the hospital. Is extended travel one of reasons? I just know that even though the ride home was difficult (2+ hours) there is no place like your own bed/home to recover and practice your new way of eating and drinking. A tiny hotel fridge would work and you are mostly still just taking in fluids/jello etc.
Take care
