Support Group- Milton area

Living in Milton, ON, I would like to find a support group to go through my journey with the help of others who have been there, done that, and got the (smaller) T-shirt.

What support groups are available in the western part of the GTA, and when do you meet?

I will be visiting the one at TWH, but I don't want to make it a regular thing because of the traffic woes getting into and out of Toronto.

(By the way, is there a search function on this forum? I can't seem to find one.)

im in northern ontario so cannot help with a local support group for you but... at the top of the page on the right hand side there is a magnifying icon.. that is the search spot (beside My OH)

I am from Georgetown and I go to a monthly meeting that is in Brampton in the Kennedy and Queen area.  We are meeting up in March and if you are interested we have a closed forum on FB and you need to contact Tammy directly.

Hello Keith, There is a monthly support meeting in Burlington. We typically meet the last Saturday of each month.  Depending on availability we meet in the Community Board Room of the Police Services Station located just south of Dundas off Walkers Line.  Meetings start at 10:00a.m. And run until noon. I post here to confirm the meetings each month after I have confirmation that the room is ours.

all pre-op, post-op and support people are welcome!

I'm in Milton too.  Unfortunately there is no meeting in Milton.  I attend the monthly meeting in Burlington.  I have been for a little over a year now I think.  It's a great group.  Attendance varies, but there are the regulars. Linda G (who posted above) is the leader.  She's really knowledgeable.    Just as an FYI, the group is like 95% women.  If that doesn't bother you, it really is a great group.
