bummed out by a stupid knee

Well all has been going great in my 2 months post op, activity has not only been easier, but so much fun, I am not having much issues with food, no complications then.............

I wake up Sunday and my knee is swollen to the size of a softball and I am in an unimaginable amount of pain.  There was no injury, no trip or twist, or even overuse (I have been very careful), By early Monday morning I am concerned so much that I have to go to emerg. where they did xrays, blood work and drained fluid from the knee for testing, now I have to wait, in pain.  I hope to have the results today or first thing tomorrow but they were concerned with either infection, gout (which didn't make much sense to me with my diet the last many months) or possibly some internal bone spurs aggravating my ligaments (need an MRI).

So now I am non-mobile which bothers me more than I thought it would.  my bum and legs are sore from sitting, I don't know how I did it so much when I was big.

anyways rant over

I recently found out gout can happen with our diet. If you look it up it often happens in people eating high protein diets with rapid weight loss. I ask the dietitian about it and she said some of the men in the program had been diagnosed with it.

I hope they find out what is wrong
