What are you eating/doing today? (Thursday)
Morning all :)
It's "National Sweater Day" at work, a campaign by the WWF to raise awareness about energy conservation and the thermostats will be set 2 degrees lower. FFS, I wear a sweater/blazer EVERY day (and yes all summer) because I'm always cold! Fun times. A couple of errands to run after work, assorted house stuff when I get home, lather-rinse-repeat. ;)

Well, it took 3 hours of searching but I finally found a couple of tops and pants that I like and that fit me properly. The tops are both cowl neck sweaters from value village 9 dollars and 12 dollars. The cowl neck means they will no be too low in the front, which is great. The 12 dollar one is Marino wool, really warm and cozy. Dress Pants were 5 and 7 dollars. So happy to have some new clothing that fits and that I like. I cleaned out my closet this weekend and realized almost all of it no longer fits. Next on my list is a winter coat, mine is 3x and I now wear large or xl.
B - premier protein shake, xl decaf coffee
s - plain greek yogurt, half protein bar
l - tilapia bean kale tomato stew
s - 2 cheese strings....later half protein bar
d - sf grape koolaid, more tilapia stew
s - herbal tea, handful pumpkin seeds
all vits and water
Funny you should ask, this stew is experimental so there is no recipe. At first I did use a recipe for tilapia with kale with light cream cheese added to the kale. But it was too strong tasting so I cut up the fish and added a couple of cans of white kidney beans, a can of tomatoes, some black pepper and garlic powder, and some Italian seasoning. Let it stew on med low heat for half an hour. Tastes even better reheated after a day in the fridge. Freezes well too.

I have a really good low fat fish stew that I make and alter it a bit each time to suit what I have in the house. Sometimes I just use fish and other times I use a mix of seafood. I start with the same base then add in whatever veggies I have on hand and what seafood I have in the house. I will check the recipe forum to see if I posted it there or not and if it's not there, I will type it up and post it later as I am just getting ready to go out.

I posted mine on the recipe forum. You can use all tilapia or any other fish in it that you like or can use a mix of seafoods. I often throw in baby spinach or kale if I have it on hand along with the rest of the base recipe. It calls for olive oil to saute the veggies but most of the time I don't even bother, just throw the veggies in with some broth so the only fat comes from the fish, which we all know is low fat, when you use white fish.
