I will be starting Opti soon.  On my first day there is a field trip I will be going on with my daughter.  I'm concerned with how I will feel.

How did you feel your first day of Opti?

Starving...I was starving and all I could think about was food, lol. With each day it got easier...by day 4 it was my new normal. I was grumpy though for the first week. At humber they allow you to have (it's been awhile so I can't remember EXACT amounts)...but they allow you to have a small amount of cucumber or Cauliflower. So for the first 3 days I would make myself a snack of 7 cucumber slices with salt, and would eat it at a time of day when I was most used to eating something...like dinner time. That helped me ease into ZERO food and just shakes. It really does get easier though =)

It's not the best day on day one, but you will survive.  Take the shakes with you, and a blender bottle and a bottle of water.  If anyone asks you can say it's a protein shake.  The taste takes a little getting used to in the beginning, but research and you will find flavourings that may be to your liking.  I added a heaping teaspoon of instant coffee to mine, and also crystal light.  Good luck, you've got this.

I guess everyone is different. I was very anxious about starting Opti but it was easier than I thought. I was not allowed any veggies etc and that kind of made it easier because food was not an option. I found the shakes were filling but I did look forward to my daily cup of broth for something warm in the cold weather. If I can do it anyone can do it...you will be fine! Good luck!

I just finished opti today. It was much easier than I thought it would be. I had one at breakfast, one around 11:30, another around 3:30 and the last one around 6:30. I drank lots of water with crystal lite. After one week I was really missing chewing, so I had cucumber with salt and pepper and vinegar. That really helped.

the time will pass quickly and then we'll need to make room for you on the bench!

My first day at night my stomach was making the weirdest noises, which was funny! But it was only that one time.

What I did the week before I replaced two meals with protein shakes so starting was not so bad.

Maybe you can try that hope it helps, and drink lots of liquids like crystal light.
