Be optimistic, yes it is at least a date, plus, I have seen soooo many people's surgery date change on here, and be moved sooner through cancels and whatnot. Keep positive and good luck!

Its a long wait for many from my understanding and even longer if a revision.

I was cleared early last summer and only got my revision date (VBG to RNY) recently.  Scheduled for March 24th

Don't stress, its all good.

My surgery is also Aug 31st with Dr Starr.  I was a little disappointed as well as I had just heard that someone got in June 8th.  Hoping that our time passes quickly

KiKiWoo, I guess we'll be hanging out together!  Did the paperwork you got say the time of your surgery?  Mine just says August 31st, no other details. I know I'll see Dr. Starr again before surgery, and it's MONTHS away so there's still lots of time for that.

No,  my paperwork didn't say time either, just that they would notify me 1 week prior.  I saw Dr Starr last week, they sent me up to Dr Glazier but he had already left for the day. They gave me an apt for March 31st to see him ...but wondering if I could just wait and meet him when I come for my PATTS apt ?  Only because I'm in Kingston , so one less trip up there would be nice lol.

The one problem with seeing Glazier when you go for your PATTS is that he could require you to do a sleep study, then you might not have time to get that all done pre-surgery... I think. I see Glazier in April. I booked that in October when I met Dr. Starr.  (Thy said that was the earliest they had available and if they had openings they would call... But you got March. This whole process is so weird!!!)   I'm going for a sleep study next week - just to be proactive.

I actually had a sleep study done just before starting this whole process.  I agree, it seems like people have things done in different order -  I guess if you are in a city that has a bariatric clinic maybe?  I did my orientation, apts with Nurse / Dietician / Social worker, ultrasound & pulminary function test, presurgical class , then got signed off in Kingston and had my apt with Dr Starr.

Hi need_to_run_81, I posted in your other thread as well.  Seeing how much you will miss having this surgery in august, I totally recommend waiting.  I know it'sucks but I did the same thing.  I was scheduled for surge in Sep. / 14 my little one started school that sep. and I didn't know what days she'd be starting (gradual entry).  That was important to me so I chose not to miss it.  I was rescheduled for Nov. / 14 then my brother announced his wedding in another country!

My date is March 10 and it felt like it crept up SO fast!  I am ready, and excited but scared too.

GL!!!
