Vegetables?!

Hi Everyone!
I'm about almost 2 months post op and I have been doing pretty good but I am really having a hard time trying to figure out what vegies to eat.  I really want to make sure I am having a balanced diet but I feel I am lacking in that area. I think I have reached my limit with steamed broccoli and I have good days and bad days with frozen vegies.  I desperately want to eat salad again but I think its too early to start with the raw vegetables.   Sooo I'm kind of stuck.  I would really appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks very much!!

I glad everything thing is going good for you. I started eating salad at about 5-6 weeks out and I have never had a problem with it. I always throw some low fat cheese and a lean meat in and sometimes an egg. Salad is one food that always goes down well for me. I know a lot of people don't do well with it but I think the only way to know is to try a small amount. Take care hon.

Your salad sound sooo yummy.  I'm still too weary about eating salad.  Soon I will be able to copy your recipe!  Thanks Lisa!

Love salad but I do cut it into smaller sized pieces.  I also like peas, radishes and mushrooms.

Mushrooms!  Forgot about those! Peas really upset my tummy a couple weeks ago...I'll try them again though.  Thanks Kelly!!

I'm just over three months post op, and haven't tried salad yet. Just dense proteins and veg. Let me know how it goes, if you give it a try.  I eat a lot of wax beans, brussel sprouts, brocolinni, peppers, snap peas, cauliflower.

I will for sure let you know how it goes!  I don't think I have ever tried Brocolinni...does it have the same flavour or is it bitter?  I am going to look for it.  Thanks for the suggestions Jennifer!!

I'[m glad to hear you are doing good Charms :-) How about cauliflower, carrots maybe beets, parsnip, turnip, squash, zuchini or eggplant ,those are the only veggies i can think of right now that are skinless and go soft when you cook them. Hope I gave you a couple ideas :-)
