Okay so I have lost about 25 lbs.  yeah!

15 lbs for 3 wks of opti

10lbs 1st sk post-surgery

I know this speed can't be maintained.  But I was wondering what to expect going forward and when I should expect plateaus?

I lost more the first month post op, in the 25 lbs range, and now I am losing a steady 15lbs per month. There are always stalls, but when you sit back and look at the big picture, you learn to relax, just stick to the plan, and know it will happen when it happens.

Congrats on your loss so far!

Hi

thanks!  I have been so amazed at how fast I'm losing but I really need to stop weighing myself.  15lbs/month is more than ideal.

Congrats Mammabear115

This has been my weight loss since my surgery on May 23rd of last year, so I just passed my 8mnth.  I started opti at 305 and day of surgery I was 289.  When my son got married was August 23rd so that was my 3 month and I was 252 so lost 36 lbs in 3 month and the hospital said I was right on track.  As of now I weigh 192. So I have calculated from my start of opti that I have lost 113 lbs but from surgery would be 96 lbs so I am ahead of that list that Zizzler gave u, and the clinic saying my goal should be 180-210 so kinda in there halfway point. I'm still loosing now but has slowed down some weeks less then a lb other week up to 3.  I am comfortable getting to the 180 but really don't want go any lower then that.  Everyone is different but it gives you an idea of what I have done.

Cheers

Wow!  Thanks.  Congrats on being so close to your goal.

Think I need to start weighing weekly.

How often do you weigh yourself now?  I was kinda obsessed at first and weighed myself everyday. Now I just weigh every Monday and why I hear that is too much as well.   Good luck in the weeks to come.
