Surgery update

Had my surgery yesterday at TWH and I am recovering well... Hopefully this will continue . I will update more once I am home tomorrow.

btw... I found out that at TWH, Bariatric candidates are placed in a semi-private or sometime even private rooms.

so, no need to pay extra for semi private.

i have been sipping water regularly every 15 mins to 30 mins. And have been taking walks since recovery.

i had my sister with me last night to help out, although I was able to manage myself with little help, but tonight I don't need any extra help. So I will be on my own, I do feel sleepy and tired most of the time, but I'm ok.

thank you all for your support and advice. I found that this process has become easy with the knowledge I have gained through you all lovely people.

Excellent news Dolly!  I'm glad to hear that you are recovering well.  I am scheduled for Monday at TWH and getting a little nervous.  Nice to hear that rooms are semi/private.  How are the nurses?  Anything else you could share.

One thing I won't miss about this process is Opti Fast!  Omg never will I drink anything vanilla or chocolate again.  Its been very difficult but toally necessary.

Keep us posted on your recovery.

Hi Rose,

nurses are very understanding and polite.

very helpful, it's my second day and I'm still on water and diluted apple juice, digesting it nicely.

discomfort in stomach area, but that is expected and is controlled by meds. You are going to be in good hands,Nothing to worry.

one thing I must say that walking has helped me since yesterday.

what time is your surgery?
