What are you eating/doing today? (Wednesday)

I'm planning on another lunch get-together soon and will post about it shortly. Originally I had thought late February (that still may happen) but I'm finding my free time limited and still working out the "kinks" with being back at work. I have two upcoming elections at work (one of which I am completely responsible for) and am trying to gauge my time commitment skills. lol Would love to see you! xo

Betony, it sounds like you're doing great! I'm not at all surprised that you couldn't eat 1/2 cup of cream-of-crap....er.. wheat. The starchy, carby items are very filling. At this point, yogurt or even soup are great breakfast choices too - no need for "time of day food rules"!

It's nice to see an early post-op getting into the habit of meal planning/tracking - welcome to the WAYE thread!

Did you buy your NSA Apple cinnamon cottage cheese.  I am looking for easy snacks that my husband can pick up for me, also, ideas for breakfast that would be easy for him to get me.  He's always so rushed in the morning.

what I do is I mix sf Apple lorann oil from bulk barn and cinnamon into plain cottage cheese.  Nordica has some ready-made individual cottage cheese things where the yogurt is but they do have added sugar.  They also have plain ones if that would work better for you. I wish they made a nsa fruit one, that would be great.

Libra I'm glad that the CBT is working for you.  If you can, please pass on some of the tips and tools, in your morning posts.  I'm sure that I would and probably others would benefit.  I have been struggling with a newly acquired sweet tooth that I would love to kick to the curb, also being stuck at home, I get bored and want to eat.  Any advice would help.

Good morning Libra, Glad you are getting something out of CBT. The more tools we have the better.

Off to see the rheumatologist this morning. My wish would be a magic pill that is not an nsaid but makes all pain go away. Reality is probably more exercises and physio.

This cold weather sucks. My son's girlfriend keeps posting pictures from their trip to Disney this week. Seeing people in shorts does nothing for my mood!

Omg cbt has been such an amazing tool for me, I hope you find it helpful too.  I hear you about unpleasant work stuff, it sucks!  Karen is awesome, I agree :0)

2 books I highly recommend are "feeling good" and "mind over mood".  I initially borrowed them from the library but they were so helpful that I decided to buy them.  They are a nice reference tool.  Best of luck to you, proud of you for taking this positive step.
