What are you eating/doing today? (Tuesday)
Morning all :)
Tanya, in hindsight I should have renewed my passport with a recent photo prior to the expiry as the photo really did not look like me at all and my son and I were questioned in the Dominican Republic as to my identity and not just once on that particular trip. With it being the government, I am sure there would be a fee attached to do so.
Off to work this morning 'til 4 PM, picking up Teriyaki Experience on the way to my parents' for their next iPad tutorial (I said I'd bring "dinner" lol), not sure what else I'll get up to. I had such a great day at work yesterday, hoping for more of the same today! Have an early meeting so will leave a little earlier to get there in time.
8.5 years post-op
- coffee with cream x 3 over the day -
B - Premier protein shake (chocolate, and I have to say I'm not enjoying it , should have had the vanilla)
S - Greek yogurt, handful of grapes
L - mixed greens salad with 2.5 oz chicken breast, 1 oz mozzarella, a couple of strawberries, sprinkle of sunflower seeds, poppy seed dressing
S - crustless quiche (regular muffin tin size)
D - Teriyaki chicken and veggies, skip the rice
S - this is a total treat - 1 piece of homemade shortbread (Andrew made it and omg, best shortbread ever and I've asked him to find a hiding place for it lol), cup of tea
Have a good one,
K. :)

Thank you Karen for the shoutout, it is good to be home. I am using a walker and had never realized how small the bathroom is, it's a tight fit to turn around.
Andrew cooks, OMG you are so lucky. Your lunch salad sounds divine. I have never tried Teriyaki experience, but I see coupons all the time. Have you eaten there before? Do you think it would be suitable for the weight loss phase? I know DH will not want to cook and I want to give him options for takeout.
Inaccessible bathroom = full bathroom spa reno! Sounds legit.
He does cook and quite well actually. We cook a lot together. The shortbread is a real treat - I really don't eat sweets/cookies etc. (or refined sugar for that matter) - his Scottish nana's recipe apparently. I don't care whose recipe it is, it's magic and needs to be put away. lol
Teriyaki Experience is a healthier choice - stir fry meat and veggies, go easy on the Teriyaki (sweet/carbs), skip the rice/noodles, and it's fresh and delish.
Enjoy your day at home today! xo

Interesting recipe re. the chia seeds. I've seen many people post about soaking them to create a "pudding" but your recipe actually sounds tasty. lol I'll try it!
