Just not sure where we are going and what options I will have. I hate the unknown. That is why I like posting here. I can plan and pretend I am in control of my choices.

Karen--I'm so glad you like them. 2nd Cup has had Flat White's for a while, Starbuck's just started serving them...you'll start getting picky where you get them from...some baristas make excellent ones --others haven't bothered learning how to make them properly ...I can't believe I've just written 3 lines about a "coffee" LOL! Clearly, I'm not the same girl I was a year ago. Tanks God!!

I just had one two days ago while in Toronto and didn't like it.  It is like baby temperature espresso with milk in it to me.  I didn't hate the taste but I hated the temperature that it's served at.  From what the sign said, it's equal parts espresso (usually a double shot) and the microfoam part of the warmed milk.  Not sure if it's always supposed to be so tepid but I like my coffee drinks hot so it was a turn off for me.

they can always make any beverage (extra hot)..sometimes I ask for my morning one extra hot, because it depends on the barista making it and sometimes I have to reheat by the time I get to work which is 10 minutes later.

Thanks...I can't do the espresso partly because of an ulcer...so maybe that's a good thing.

If they make the milk too hot then you can't get the microfoam so don't think this one can be made extra hot.  I always get lattes extra hot.  Lattes have espresso in them, it's just that there is a larger portion of milk to espresso ratio in a latte vs a flat white or cappuccino even.
