What are you eating/doing today? (TGIF Edition)
Good morning!
It's Friday and we made it through another week! If I weren't so tired I'd do some sort of lame happy dance. ;) CC, if you're reading I'm thinking of you XO. Libra, I had a flat white yesterday and my days of lattes are gone - delish, thank you!
Off to work this morning which has become increasingly stressful with the start of a new Council, starting new committees of council (citizen appointments/selection/interviews/elections), a by-election.... reminding myself I love my job. lol Movie night tonight (Birdman), not sure what else I'll get up to.

- coffee with cream x 3 over the day -
B - Premier protein shake
S - Greek yogurt, handful of grapes, a few melon chunks
L - crustless quiche
S - turkey/cheese/pickle roll-up, Chike protein iced coffee
D - 4 oz BBQ chicken with tzatziki for dipping, spinach salad
S - not sure yet

I'm simply exhausted today. Last night I made ham and egg cups in the oven. I ate one, and immediately felt pain. Four sessions in the bathroom later, the whole thing came back up. That's a new thing for me. A few hours later I was able to get in a banana and almond butter. Still not quite right this morning, so I have no idea what's on my menu today. Trying to think of what I can tolerate that won't be too rough.
This weekend I have my daughter and step-daughter's second synchro competition of the season. :-) Hoping to do some organizing at some point too.

Good morning everyone. Karen I hope your work goes well today and not too stressed. Let us know about Birdman, it's a movie I was interested in seeing. Kelly so sorry you had a bad experience with the egg cups, maybe stick to Greek yogurt today.
Another day where I am feeling less pain. I'm just waiting until a bed becomes available for rehabilitation hospital but who knows maybe I'll be better before that happens. Today it's physio and probably a nap. Not sure of the eats, but DH came in this morning and brought me a Time Hortons whole wheat turkey sausage egg wrap and coffee

I've never had an issue. I eat boiled eggs easily...all eggs. Not sure what was up yesterday. I'm better with a banana and almond butter in my belly this morning. Pretty crazy though, it was so yummy. Maybe it was cooked too long ?

I think, if anything, it might not have been cooked enough. I read other recipes where they cook the ham for five minutes first. Who knows? I ate a big hunk of carrot before it, and wasn't overly hungry, but needed to get protein in. It's fun being this far out and having issues once in awhile. :P Thanks for the reply!

Yes TGIF. Been a slow week at work so am BORED. Gave me time to play on twitter for work. Sorry your job is becoming more stressful. Just remind yourself of how being home wasn't much fun.
I mentioned to my co-worker that it was my 3 yr anniversary. She wants to take me out for a smoothie. I really do not want to hurt her feeling but all I can think of is all the calories. We haven't made it the last two days so I am hoping something comes up and we never make it. I may have to alter my menu if we do go for it. I will probably just not have lunch
I am swimming at lunch today. So I have added a morning snack. I have been trying different things for eating when I swim. I do not like to eat my lunch before because I find myself burping through the swim. Kind of hard to do. But after swimming is really too long from breakfast. I may have to set a timer to make sure I do not eat too late in the morning.

s banana, 1 oz mozzarella made into chips
l ham/pea/lentil soup, yogurt
d chicken stir fry. Not sure of what veg DH will put into it.
