from clear fluids to full fluids 5 days post op?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has been from clear to full fluids after 5 days post op.? I had RNY last friday

Yes, me. I was on clears in the hospital and sent home on full fluids. My surgery was 9 years ago out of HRRH, but I believe the plan is still the same.

Hmmm... well, I guess my best advice is to follow what your centre told you to do.

Sorry abut the confusion... I'm on full fluids now... for 5 days .... I meant the next phase... 

Ohhh... I misunderstood. In that case, no I did not move to the next stage at only 5 days post-op from full fluids to pureed. I followed my centre's guidelines which said 2 weeks on full fluids.

The centre called on Monday and told

me to go on full fluids.   I would guess that would be the same for you too.

How is your pain levEl progressing?

Are you asking if its ok to move to the puree stage? Probably not at 5 days out but you need to check with your centre. Is there a reason you want to move it up?
