well if you haven't seen anything that said (no carbonation), I would suggest you check around and especially talk to your Bariatric center, because carbonated drinks are a BIG no no, after surgery...and if you don't know that you could be in for a whole heap of pain.

Thanks, I did call the dietitian and she said that they prefer us to stop having carbonated drinks so that we're used to it when we have surgery. Funny thing is that I've had the stomach flu since Sunday and haven't had any diet coke since. I did ask abou ginger ale (diet) and she said it was ok if I need it to calm my stomach.
I kept hearing that we can't have carbonated drinks after surgery because it will cause pain, but I saw on "my 600 pound life " that it can stretch your pouch. That's enough for me - I'm not doing all of this just to undo it because of a drink!
I am 6 yrs post-op and I love my Nestea Zero, while everyone else is having a pop or juice, I open up a can and indulge.
