Happy New Year, Patricia!

Your menu looks pretty darn small today - is this a "get back on track" thing?

Good morning everyone.   Karen this walking wounded is reporting for duty. Not so much walking yet, but physio's goal is to get me to be able to stand up with a walker in the next few days.   Just had my morphine so it's soon will be time to smell the colours, that's right, I get a little stoned on morphine.   Not sure what my eats will be as they letting me fill out a menu sheet but they keep subbing carby things for my protein choices. DH can't come into the hospital to see me this morning so I will have to make do with whatever I get.

Have a great day everyone and do fun things. Barb you enjoy the Book of Mormon and give us your review tomorrow.

CC, glad to see you posting but my gawd woman, that must have been quite a fall you had! Any prognosis?

None yet Karen. CT was scheduled for today but doc says he wants to postpone for a few days. That makes me think there would be a lot of movement that would hurt. The only thing the doc has said was that I have had a severe back injury, which doesn't really tell me the game plan. It does tell me I'm not going home just yet.

Oh my gosh CC...sounds like you did a number on yourself.  I take it you aren't at Guelph General if you are having so many issues with your meals.  I really hope they find out what is going on and that you get some relief soon.  Thinking of you.

Thanks Vicky. I'm in Kitchener.   I called my centre and spoke with Audrey in Guelph. She said it's a bit of a learning curve when dealing with WLS patients like us. My husband has been bringing in a cooler with protein shakes and now Greek yogurt. Truthfully I haven't been that hungry, but I know I need protein to heal.

Thank goodness for your husband   :)

Lay back and let the morphine do its job...hope you feel better soon.

Happy New Year Karen!

Nope, that's pretty much it. I've been having problems regulating my blood sugar/reactive hypoglycemia. The endocronologist provided some suggestions but I haven't been able to find my "sweet spot" (yes, pun intended) of carb:protein ratio.
