Losing really fast?
Anyone else lost really fast? I feel like it should have taken much longer then this. I'm only 4.5 months out from surgery and am down 127 lbs. Sometimes I feel like my insides are just going to give up on me, my whole body is screwed up. I'm sure it's TMI but since Opti (5 months ago) I've had my period all but about 4 weeks of that. I've seen doctors, they just assume it's the weight loss. My liver is acting funny and I have to go see a specialist...Losing the weight is great and all, but at what expense?

If your a lightweight, it may come off slower than someone like myself who was a heavy weight. Eventually, your body will slow down.
Have you seen your centre and dietician? What do they feel about your loss so far?
Annette
Nope wasn't a light weight. I had about 180 to lose. I have a havery a hard time getting ahold of them. I have an appt the start of next month though.

That's great then! If you were a light weight I would be concerned your loosing so fast so much but your like I was in the beginning!
enjoy it while it lasts!
A couple of the other girls here have had the same trouble with their periods and have been told it's part of the weight loss but that doesn't make it any less frustrating. Are you on any birth control cause I know when I was on Depo-Provera I never stopped having a period for like almost 9 months had to stop because it made me anemic and then I tried the patch Evra and it was almost the same plus I was allergic to the adhesive (sorry if that was TMI). Congratulations on your weight loss 127lbs that is amazing Mazey !!! I haven't had surgery yet so I can't make any comments about the rest of the problems. I hope it all works out and it's nothing serious and that it all gets sorted out soon so you can enjoy your weight loss success instead of having to wonder if has caused more problems for you. Good-Luck Mazey

I'm not sure if I'm losing too fast.. it just feels like it sometimes. I'm not complaining, but it kind of scares me sometimes.

Oh I know you are not complaining and I apologize if my post gave you the impression I thought so. I understand what it is like to wonder if a decision you had for your health may have made things worse. I had back surgery last February a Spinal Fusion after 2 other back surgeries failed and I was in so much pain I couldn't stand it anymore. I agreed to the spinal fusion but 2 days post-op I started to get really short of breath and my calves started to ache really bad and I felt so sick, then I found out after a CT Scan and Ultrasounds of both my legs that I had multiple blood clots in the lungs and both legs. I got really scared and felt like I'd made a big mistake and put my life a risk just so I didn't have to deal with pain anymore but in the end it all resolved itself and I'm healthy again and not in pain. I'm hoping that whatever issues you have going on will just be related to your rapid weight loss and will resolve themselves over time and leave you healthy and happy in the end :-)
