I'm officially on the bench!
Wow, that was a wild few days. I had my surgery on Monday morning, and I just got home from the hospital. I'm surprisingly not in much pain. But I did feel like a Mack truck hit me after I came out of the anaesthesia. I had no idea that anaesthesia can create flu- like symptoms. I was constantly cold and hot. The hospital was definitely not fun.
But on the plus side, all of my friends were so helpful in taking care of my pets and staying with me in the hospital. I'm so humbled and grateful to have such wonderful people in my life. I came home to safe and happy pets, and some lovely tulips and a David's Tea set. I'm very lucky.
i had to stay at TWH an extra night because they were concerned that I might have some internal bleeding but it turned out to be ok. Nevertheless, I'm somewhat trepidatious about the liquids phase. I've had a bit of a Celebrate multi+protein shake and so far so good! but taking it slow.
Anyway, just wanted to let all you OH peeps know I survived and lived to tell the tale!
Congratulations :-) Happy to hear all went well, wishing you a quick and uneventful recovery :-)
