Really frustrated

I'm on "mirena" I've had it for 3 years now and haven't gotten a period whatsoever, but now after my surgery I've had my first period which lasted 7 to 8 days and it was fairly heavy so maybe I'm in the same boat too?  24 days really seems like a lot though I would try calling the discharge nurse.

My first period after surgery was about 10 days, then I had a break for a week I believe, and it came back. It hasn't been 24 days straight, it's been 24 days over the last five weeks or so...It seems to go away for a few days, back again. That seems to be the pattern so far. It's been steady flow for 12 days now with no days off.

Oh okay I thought it was for 24 days straight! That must be so annoying... I'm going to monitor mine when it decides to come back because honestly I'm not used to having it at all and the fact that it even came back worries me. I hope yours regulates soon.

For sure, I just am sending positive thoughts your way.  I am sure you will be fine! Just don't leave it! I have Mirena as well which has stopped my periods as of now, but before it was horrible.

You're right... Need to get into my doc and figure this out. It does seem common though, based on the posts I have read, but it can't be doing good things to my iron levels to be going through this... I really would like it to go away NOW!!! :S

Hopefully I can get in to see her on Monday.

I started my period on the 13th or so, had surgery on the 16th and my period hasn't stopped. It slows down a bit and comes back hardcore every time. I feel tired and dizzy and I had to take off work today early because of how crappy I felt. I feel your pain.

Sounds about exactly what I have been going through. Mine seems to slow, then BAM, back hardcore. I am also feeling super drained and tired. Been upping my iron, but still, being on it for this long, takes a toll on our bodies, I am sure! Feel better soon xo

Thanks hun, you too. I've been doubling up on prenatal vitamins lol, so I think I should be okay... but ugh. I feel so tired and drained.
