Dr. Starr

Has anyone had Dr. Starr at Humber?  What are your thoughts?  How long did you wait from meeting him until surgery?

I met with Dr. Starr in November.  Very nice man.  From your time line we started at the same time but things are occuring in different order.  I was referred in April 2014, had my Orientation in August 2014, met Dr. Starr November 2014 meet with other three in Feb. 2015.  I am hoping for surgery in March or April if all goes well.

It was love at first sight for me LOL  He completely calmed me right down.  I am a little bit high strung ;) and my hubby and I walked out of his office, looked at each other and said ' OMG this is a no brainer......easy peasy'  I have not read nor heard a negative thing about the man!  My timeline is in my signature, which seems much different than yours, although I believe I should be getting a late March or early April surgery as well!  Maybe we will be hospital hall mates ;)

I also have Dr Starr, he is wonderful in my opinion, he answers all your questions honestly. 

Well about surgery wait times it all depends on a lot of things like your blood work , sleep study, doctor's schedule  etc. I have my date with him on January 9 2015.

I haven't had surgery yet but I had my first appt with Dr.Starr and I love him. He was funny and kind, he answered all my questions without hesitation or any sign of wanting to rush me. I met with him November 28th 2014. I had my appointments with the Dietitian, Social Worker and Clinic Nurse December 15th 2015. They all approved me for surgery so I called his office immediately after my appointments and they booked my surgery for the first available date they had March 2nd 2015. His office did say they may get some cancelations or extra OR dates so it could potentially move up. Hope this was helpful, Good-Luck :-)
