Optifast Question
Congrats on your journey first off! No word of a lie, you will feel like crap the first 3 days or so...if you don't start weening yourself off sugar and caffeine. I felt like I was not present and floating through the day..oh and headaches! By day 5 I felt like my eyes were opened lol! Cravings...gone, tiredness...gone...totally great feeling! I would suggest that you take tylenol or advil, drink water and keep some sugar free candies and gum close by and push through it. You'll get through ;-)

I was tired and a bit cranky for the first three or four days. After that, I was fine. Not a problem. I had energy. I was going about my daily routine. I was excited to be moving on to that first REAL stage and it was a thrill to see the pounds start to drop.
As for the constipation or Opti-trots, my centre here in Ottawa told us to take Metamucil capsules with our shakes. That can help correct any BM problems you might have... one way or the other! We could take up to 4 capsules per shake. My sweet spot was 2 capsules per shake, for a total of 8 capsules per day. I never had any BM problems on Opti. But do remember... liquid in = very few solids coming out!

Thank you all for your response! I am looking forward to start this process and will keep all of your suggestions in mind . I am trying to cut off my tea in take but I am finding it very hard. Good for one day then back again . I even told my husband not to ask me for tea when he is making it for himself as it is very hard for me to say no . And if he doesn't ask me I get mad at him lol
