Pic of my son and I during his first 5k!
Just wanted to share this pic of my 9-year-old and I during his first 5k (my daughter's too...). It was a week after my marathon and I was pleased to finish in 24:08. He finished in 55 minutes (he and my daughter walked/ran together....she sprinted ahead in this pic). I'm smiling lots because I'm watching her go. She is overweight and wants to run, but cannot get motivated. She is going to be 12 in January, and wants to be healthy. I was proud of them both!!

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
Must have been a great moment for all 3 of you.
I hope you get some relief from the pain, and begin to feel better too.
