Support group?

Is there a support group where people meet that are looking to have the surgery and have had the surgery in the Oakville area. I would love to meet new people going thru or who have already went thru the same this as I don't have much of a support team behind my decision.

As luck would have it, YES! I run a support group in Clarkson (Mississauga/Oakville border) AND we're meeting tonight. This is an informal coffee group support meeting with people at all stages, including myself 8.5 years post-op. We're meeting at 6:30 tonight at the Tim Horton's on Lakeshore in Clarkson (1785 Lakeshore Road West).  You are very welcome to join us.

Do you do this weekly or monthly? Tonight wont work for me but I def want to come for your next one.

Usually monthly on different nights to try to accommodate people's schedules, sometimes a bigger lunch get together so we can meet lots of fellow-WLS'ers. I also meet people for coffee at other times if they want to get together and chat/ask questions, etc. If you're interested, let me know. I post on the board here with plenty of notice for coffee nights, watch for the next one in early December and maybe a lunch or brunch too.
