This is very helpful -- I'm pre-op (surgery in January) but I've hired a personal trainer to begin to work with me starting in the third week of October.  I didn't even think about how working out would affect how much carbs I would need (although now that I think about it, it's kind of obvious).  I'll remember this for post-surgical workouts.  I'm sure my trainer would have suggested tweaks to my diet if I was having issues (as would the NUT) but I really appreciate you sharing this!

It has now been a few days and doing perfect now.

Adding a 1/4 cup of Kashi go lean cereal to my greek yogurt, increasing my yogurt as another snack after working out, and adding a 1/3 of a carb serving to my dinner meal has made me feel 100% better.  I no longer feel tired and dizzy and I actually have been sleeping better.  I also have less cravings for sweet things too.

For myself this balanced meal approach is working out so far and I am grateful to the dieticians advise.  Before I felt like I was just always running on empty and I was so tired.

Very pleased that this was an easy fix.
