Optifast Question

How does Optifast reduce the fat on your liver?  You would think fat stores would deplete in a uniform manner from all over the body.  I would love to know the answer to this.

My understanding is that your liver likes to store extra fat and sugar, so optifast only gives your body what it needs causing your liver to let go of its stores thus shrinking your liver making it easier to move out of the way during your surgery.
