I have the one. I find it compact and easy to wear.

I have the fitbit one......I LOVE IT!!!!  I wear it every single day and also every single night in bed to track my sleep.  It works like a pedometer but can track soooo much more, the fitbit website is excellent also, I look at my stats and my hubbies stats everyday.  I bought one for me, then my husband, and then my mom!  We challenge each other in steps each day.  Very good investment!!!  I bought theirs through eBay

I have the flex.  I don't have to worry about putting it on, it's always there.  Plus, a quick stop at ebay and you can get different bands for under $10, to match any colour clothing, so it's also an accesory. It monitors my sleep patterns.  I can use it as an alarm clock.  You only need to charge it once a week and it's easy.

I was going to ask the same questions as I'm pre-op! I saw them at Kohls and wanted more information!

I am pre-op and got a fitbit flex back in early July and I love it.  As stated above it can work as a pedometer, alarm, and can track your sleep.  I no longer track my sleep - it was so discouraging since I am a very bad sleeper.  When I first got it I left the steps goal (10,000) at the factory preset just to get an idea of what my actual steps were in a day.  After tracking my steps for a week I set the goal (7,000) to slightly above my average steps a day.  Everyday I made myself meet or exceed that goal - after 10 days of meeting that goal I added 250 steps a day.  I am now up to 9,250 steps a day - I had hoped to be at 10,000 but got side tracked for a week by a nasty spider bite.  My ultimate goal is 14,000 steps a day.  It is also great if you use myfitnesspal since there is an app that allows them to connect directly to each other.  I would highly recommend a fitbit flex.
