Opti and constipation
Sorry to hear your going through this. I had the opposite effect. I would take some senokot to get things moving and then take the psyllium Fibre to keep it moving. Just make sure your drinking lots of water or you will get backed up again. The last thing you want is to go into your surgery constipated.
When is surgery? Good luck with everything!

thankfully, it hasn't been too bad for me. I've been taking a single Senekot every other day, and all is well in that end of my world :)

In Ottawa we are told to take 2 Metamucil capsules with each shake... and we CAN take up to 5 capsules per shake.
Metamucil will help move things along if you are having constipation, and ironically, if you have diarrhea, it can help solidify things too! Either way, it's a win-win!
Give it a try. I was taking about 10 capsules per day with my Opti shakes to keep things moving, but even then, liquid in = liquid out for the most part. I was only having a BM every two or three days. It was enough to get me through the three weeks of Opti and onto the operating table though!
Wishing you luck.
