18 month surgiversary!
Sept. 12th was my 18 month anniversary. Since my one year anniversary, I have lost an additional 8.5 inches for a total of 73.5 inches since I started my journey. I have also lost another 8.8 lbs for a total weight loss of 115.8 lbs. I am very happy with my progress to date. I am pretty sure I am done losing and am now just waiting to see if I get the bounce back. After that, just hoping to maintain

Good going and congrats! I am in my 15th month. I too have not lost since last spring, despite trying - I eat less than 1500 cal/day and I have a dog so I walk over an hour at the fastest pace I/he can go, especially up hill. I gained 3 pounds this summer and I believe it was from eating all this wonderful summertime fruit. previous years I was not able to have it because I was diabetic. So now I have started seriously back to myfitnesspal, logging everything. I need to lose at least another 10 pounds and keeping my fingers crossed. I am so happy with my weight loss, just keep wishing for a bit more! you are inspiring me as you have lost after the one year mark - you might lose more too! keep up the good work, mary.
I think the potential is there for me to lose a bit more, if I really work at it. Right now I go to the gym 3-5 days per week (depends on my work schedule). I eat okay, but, probably could do a bit better. If I upped my workouts and fine tuned my eating habits, I probably could lose another 10 lbs. I just don't want to feel like I am on a diet for the rest of my life. My reasoning and thought process with this surgery was that it would help me get the initial weight off so that I could become more active to help me be healthy. I feel that I have accomplished this so far. I am so much more active in my life now, outside of going to the gym, it is wonderful :) I am so happy that I had this surgery!

A big congratulations to you :) Don't wait for bounce back - prevent it by continuing to eat on plan.
Way to go!

Congratulations! You've done so incredibly well in 18 months. It's wonderful to see how far you have come (and inspired your daughter too along the way)!
It's amazing to know that you've shed the old you and developed new habits, new routines, and a new lifestyle to accompany all the hard work you've put into this. You're doing so well and I really hope that maintenance is not too hard for you, as I know some people find it tough. Fine-tuning is the key and you'll do great with it!
Best to you, and your daughter from Ottawa!
