Wondering if anyone else has had some concerns with their incisions.

3 out of 5 incisions are great and at one point 4 of them were great they are all closed however the one above my belly button has a lump it's fairly big it is the size of the incision and about 2cms past it on each side plus it has a red puffy line that goes up and down through it. Then one other incision looks awesome however when you touch it it stings and had some white stuff coming out of it. The white stuff has gone but it still stings to touch.

i wash everyday and patt dry still all incisions are closed, I do have an appointment this Wednesday at my center but just kinda worried about these two incisions.

My RNY surgery was on the 19th of August and mine are mostly closed, a bit of dark scabbing, and a little white stitch was poking out of the one on the far right (looking down). After I saw my own Doctor he said they were fine, as I had been concerned about the red rim around one of them.

I put Polysporin and large non-stick bandages on mine. I have Epsom Salts baths and cleanse my stomach gently. Your red lines might indicate infection but your appointment will determine if you need to take some antibiotic or not, so don't worry! The best thing you can do is keep that appointment and it should be smooth sailing from there. Hope it works out!

Thank you,

i hope it's smooth sailing I had put polysporin on the one above my belly button and put a waterproof and airlock bandaid on it but it almost looks like the infection is on the inside because there is nothing on the outside and all the incisions are closed. Hopefully it will be all fixed after this appointment and on the road to full recovery.

You may have an infection. It might just be the stitch has not popped thru yet. I would have it seen sooner rather than later especially if there has been drainage

The bandaid may be making it worse. I would think it would be best for the incision to be aired out so it can breathe.
