HELP NEEDED!! Hotels! TEGH! Do Surgery Angels still exist?

We had a list of people (volunteers) who were willing to connect with those going for surgery on a more personal level for guidance, support, a friend to lean on, who would also be in contact with the person (or their family member) on the day of surgery and would report back to the forum that the surgery was complete, person was doing well, etc. Sometimes it was someone who lived near you but mostly it was someone that the pre-op had "clicked with" here on the forum.

When I had surgery years ago it was really nice to have a more experienced post-op to connect with (thank you Joyce J.!) and when I had more experience, it was terrific being able to lend an ear to someone new. :)
