Morning all :)

Early start today - my sleepover buddy has to get up at 5:15 for work, I never get back to sleep after that. Oh well, lots to do this morning before my meeting (here) with the insurance health specialist. Not stressing about it anymore. Car shopping (online for now to get an idea of what's out there and what I might want) continues - anyone who has a good suggestion, I am wide open to ideas! Last minute "touch up" around the house, a couple loads of laundry, Andrew is coming for dinner/cards.

8 years post-op

B - coffee with cream x 3 over the morning, source greek 50 tangerine, Premier protein shake

S - 2 oz Bella Vitano cheese, 1 oz kielbasa, pickle spear, 2 crackers

L - same as snack except old cheddar in place of the Bella Vitano, a couple of black olives, slice of tomato

S - Chike protein iced coffee

D - quarter cup pasta, 3 quarters cup meat & veggie sauce (sorry, laptop isn't letting me use punctuation lol), good sprinkle of shredded parmesan

S - likely just decaf with cream and maybe a sf freezie or two

Supposed to be a hot one out there!

Have a great day,

Karen

Good morning all

Little sore this morning after weeding yesterday. Worst part is there is a lot more to do. I think I will tackle my daughters old room. It still has bins in it she has left behind. My SIL is staying Thursday night so would like to make it a little better looking.

My bil wanted a pie for his birthday on Thursday. Last time I make pastry it did not turn out well. So I tried a new recipe yesterday. I made raspberry and butter tarts. Of course I had to try some. I had a small amount of a butter tart. Boy did I react to it. It takes a while but I get the shakes and racing heart. I think this is more RH than dumping. Either way I know better than to eat this crap. On the plus side the pastry was great.

pureed stage post op

Last night I had a very strong craving for potato chips.  Am I a freak to be having cravings 10 days after surgery?  I stayed strong and did not buy any and bought all good puree stuff instead, including roasted garlic hummus, which was delicious btw.  I felt really sorry for myself because I though I would at least have some period of time where I craved nothing.  Watched outlander last night - Jamie fraser is hot!

You may just be craving salt. Fine something better for you that has the crunch and salt

Salt is no problem, I can just add more to my food, it is the crunchiness that is hard at the pureed stage. Maybe I will try biting a freezie to get that crunch in, its what I did on opti.  Thanks!
