Good morning!

Running out in a few to have coffee/breakfast with the author of the new book, "It's My Time", Karen Clouter. She recently launched her book that documents and reflects on her decision to have WLS and the outcomes thus far. http://www.karenclouter.com/index.html I always love meeting fellow-WLS peeps and I'm looking forward to chatting with her (and having a hopefully delicious breakfast lol). A few errands to run afterward, home for dinner.

8 years post-op

B - coffee with cream x quite a few, source greek 50

S - (what I think I will be eating) 2 eggs, 3 bacon, sliced tomatoes

L - just a Premier protein shake I think - I stay full a long while if I have a big breakfast

S - 3 oz tuna salad, 2 crackers, a couple carrot sticks for scooping

D - BBQ homemade burger all the fixings no bun, 1/2 cob of corn, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers

S - likely just decaf with cream

Have a fabulous day!

Edited: I hit "submit" after my first sentence. No idea why. lol

Morning Karen,

Just wanted to tell you that you are so inspirational and dedicated to this forum. I know I'm still new but I do plan on staying a part of this "family" as I go through my journey :)

I am definitely going to check out that author you mentioned above, I think I would like to read a book of that nature. Anyways I won't keep you, go enjoy your day :)

That was incredibly kind of you to say. Thank you.

I can't speak for the book as I've not had the opportunity to read it yet. I am keeping in mind that she is 2.5 years out from surgery and still in her losing phase. I think the book is a reflection "up 'til now".

I hope you DO stick around! Being part of this community has certainly contributed to my success. :)

Have a great day!

K.

Good morning everyone.  Karen that sounds so interesting meeting the author.  Yesterday my surgeon gave me the green light to exercise, so there may be some  biking in my very near future.  I am down 45lbs so that was good to see.  Going to get blood drawn this morning.

5 weeks post-op

B. Syntrax Cappuccino protein coffee after I get my bloodwork done.  Easy to take in the car.

S. 1 Greek 50 lemon.  I love all the flavours, but lemon and lime are my favourites

L.  Refried beans, habanero shredded cheddar, Emerils salsa, low fat sour cream

S. another Syntrax Cappuccino

D. 1oz turkey spinach meatball with 1/4 marinara and a teaspoon grated parmesan, 1/4 cup whole wheat spagettini

S. protein icecream

Have a good day everyone.

It was very interesting. She is a lovely person, focused and succeeding and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast together. :)

I had to read your post about exercise twice - I could have sworn I read "there may be a BIKINI in my very near future". LOL!
