Colonoscopy after bariatric surgery

Has anyone had one done after they had RNY surgery?  I am booked for one next month and just wonder if there is anything that needs to be done differently for us?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I had one done not long ago. Nothing different. They warned me they might not be able to get up into the intestines as far due to lesions. But after pushing and poking me it was fine. And you get to drink the really gross stuff to prepare

While I had my colonoscopy before RNY, I can't imagine it being any different as the colon hasn't been re-routed with RNY, just the small intestine. You can certainly give them a "heads up" if you want to be certain.  The "prep" for a colonoscopy is the worst part.

Since they operated on your gut, not your butt, I can't imagine there would be any difference at all.
