Hi all,

Thought I would start this one today.

Had a great morning already. Good appointments at TWH yesterday, left feeling so positive about my WLS journey. I feel much more calm about things here in maintenance.

Ran almost 11k this morning in one hour. Getting faster. Almost the pace I needed to be at today, a little bit slow, but I still have over two months until my marathon, so i'm feeling pretty good at what I can accomplish now.

Dinner tonight with friends. Yay!

B: goat yogurt mix

S: babybel cheese and crackers

L: turkey meatball and kale salad

S: tall skinny vanilla latte

D: something yummy at Mr. Greek :-) - chicken and greek salad mostly likely

Have a great day all!

I haven't been on here as much, so i'm not sure if I missed something Pat. Did you have an injury? Or just plain and simple you aren't working out as hard as you have in the past? If that's the case, it's normal, and our bodies will easily work up to the pace we've been able to do in the past. Great memories, our bodies have :-)

I am about the same. I was lazy over the winter and needed to get back up to speed on biking. It is just that if I bike fitbit does not show steps so it looks like I have done nothing.

AS the weight comes off you will find you have a lot more energy. I have a lot of sore joints so biking is good for taking the pressure off without further injuring them

I am hoping I get the go ahead to start biking soon.  I broke all the bones in my right leg many years ago and the arthritis is right through the ankle joint, so finding exercises that don't aggrevate the arthritis can be challenging.  I just bought a bathing suit in size 1x.  I am hoping to be in that size by the end of August, fingers crossed.  As for energy, I have very little.  Naps are a frequent occurance these days lol.

Getting in the pool could be a huge help to you. The water takes the load off your joints and allows you to move without the stress on your joints and bones. I occasionally visit the pool by my house that has a therapy pool at one end - between the warmer water and increased ability to move, it's been really helpful to build muscle back after my illness last year.

Sorry you were ill last year Karen.  I enjoy swimming, but have been very self conscious about certain parts of my body.  I found some swimming shorts online at the Bay and they arrived yesterday.  I guesstimated what size I might be when I get the go ahead for swimming.  They are really cute and would work well just as shorts also.  Building muscle sounds like exactly what I need to work on.
