spotting

From what I've read, your hormones are going to be out of whack for a while from the weight loss since some are stored in fat and are released as you lose weight. My period has been unpredictable since surgery.

Your hormones will be way out of whack for a while --- fat has a lot of estrogen and other hormones in it that are released into your body as you burn fat.
Before surgery my period was like clockwork with no spotting -- EVER. The week after surgery I had a 6 day period (where max had been 3 days before) with double the bleeding of normal. Had spotting for about 6 weeks after surgery.
I'm currently 5 months out and things are pretty much back to normal.
If you've had a recent PAP and exam then it's probably the hormones. If you're still concerned go to your Gyn and have it checked out.
