Surgery date.
I'm not sure what hospital your are with. They all have different processes. In Ottawa they recently started an OR optimization plan for scheduling which means you don't get a surgery date until about 4 weeks ahead of time, the actual time of your surgery is not set until the afternoon before you go in. A number of people have been frustrated by this process and the wait for a date but it has meant that people needing urgent surgery get in faster. Here' s a link explaining the benefits.

I've noticed other centres give out dats many months in advance, so some people already have Sept/Oct dates for those hospitals.
I had my surgeons appointment in April and my surgery wasn't booked until August 19th. It's been a LONG wait, but it's almost here! On day 9 of my optifast and the 19th will be here before I know it.

He was the same ... I was the same ... haha !! When they told me he was out of surgery I felt like I'd won the lottery :)
You'll do great. My one issue was that they told us the surgeon would come speak to us and he didn't. So tell your support person not to freak out if they don't hear anything ... They can go to the 'switchboard' ladies (in the front lobby) or up to the 5th floor (where you check in) and ask at the nursing desk. They can find out where you are this way, and sometimes how long it'll be until you're in your room.
