I think my band slipped

Hi All,

I ate some food one night, felt a weird sensation in stomach area. As you can see, it is now 1:44 am and I have a pain coming from my stomach. This is a pressure that hurts a lot.

I want this lap band out of me. Any idea where to find a cost effective location to have this done?

I don't know much about the bands or how long ago you had it, but would the pressure be caused from gas from the food that you were eating?  That can be quite painful at times.  Or be caused by your gallbladder?  I'd go talk to your GP and see what exactly is going on before you just have it taken out.

Could you not go back to Dr. Cobourn??

Lap-band removal if it is giving you problems can be removed for free, covered by OHIP, by any surgeon in Ontario. Since you were banded by SWLC, I would ask Dr. Cobourn to remove it for you.
