Had surgery on Monday - Ottawa

So glad to hear things went well.  I was thinking you might be still in when I was wheeled up on Wednesday but I think I took your slot in room 217 with my roomie John who'd been there since Monday and finally got sprung late Thursday night.

One thing I learned is that Ottawa only has 4 beds for WLS patients, so max 12 surgeries per week and generally less because more people need their beds longer than others.

You did get my bed :) I escaped early because my heart was behaving. Congratulations on surgery. Weren't the nurses incredible? I believe you would have had Natasha your first night, she helped me on my first night as well and I loved her.

I too had incredible pain, meant two trips back to the ER this past week. Seem to be on the mend now.

Glad you are on the mend. The first bit can be physically hard, then I guess you move on to the mental challenge of WLS.
