Yup, it feels so weird.  I have been waiting to get the surgery date for so long it just feels normal to always be waiting.  No call from PAU yet, supposed to call me within 2 weeks with a date for that.  Did you get yours PAU apt yet?  I was told the PAU could be at any time from now until a few days before surgery.

Yup...it's August 5th.

I'm so scared now, I think I'm going to crap my pants...I mean...how lucky are we to get this second chance in life?

My ENTIRE life, I've struggled with obesity...and Lord knows I've struggled.  Heck, I've lost over 100 pounds...twice

Then I got tired...so darn tired of the fight, and gave up, gave in, holed up and caved in.

But now, we've got a fighting chance, eh?  The odds are on our side now, rather than against us, eh?

Girlfriend...I am so proud of you, and of everyone who is and has gone through this journey.

It ain't for wimps.

*hugs*

Hi Alberta1, PAU stands for Pre Admission Unit, basically it is the tests they do to make sure you are ready for surgery.  I met Dr. Neville on April 8th. I really hope your wait is shorter and more smooth than mine has been.  I waited over 13 weeks for a surgery date and it will be another five an half weeks until surgery, so 18 weeks from meeting the surgeon.  or 4.5 months.  But that is also because the civic is doing no surgeries for the last week in July and the first week in August.  To me your estimate seems logical.  Best of luck to you.
