Tanya, I just looked back over some posts to see what was up and I see that your job ended - I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you find something soon. In the meantime, sounds like you're getting things done at home and taking care of yourself, and that's great. I'm realizing I have a lot of catching up to do with what's happening with everyone here! Good luck.

Started to post yesterday but ended up being rushed out the door for a walk. We went to Humber Nursery. I still ended up spending too much as usual.

Looks like a great menu to me. I hear you about the weight gain. I lost 5 lbs on my vacation. Gained it back when I got back. Talk about a wake up call!

Barb, you're doing great! Congratulations!

I'm not feeling well today so I'm staying home from work. I think it's because I haven't gotten back on track since my vacation. I'm run down, my stomach is upset, and I'm just kind of feeling like crap. So I'm resting today and recharging my batteries and trying to get my stomach feeling better.  Today I'm going to try to get back on track with food planning and tracking, measuring and such. I've been lax because I've been biking a lot, so it's kind of forgiving on the scale (although not completely - I gained back what I lost on my vacation) but when I'm not feeling great despite staying within my acceptable weight zone, I know it's time to get back to basics.

I don't have much fresh food in the house - haven't been grocery shopping in a long time because we've been away both weekends since I got back from vacation, and we have been very busy in the evenings - something going almost every night. And I don't even want to tell you the state our house is in right now. Awful. But at least I have fresh strawberries that we picked up on the way home yesterday from visiting my parents in the country!  If I'm feeling better later today, I'll go out grocery shopping. If not, then not.

1.5 YEARS POST-RNY

B - 1 egg fried in 1 tsp olive oil, on 1 toasted slice of P28 bread

S - 1/2 cup ricotta/vanilla/splenda mix with 1/2 cup fresh Ontario strawberries (oh yeah!)

L - Salmon salad open faced sandwich on 1 slice P28 bread

S - 100 grams of edamame beans in shells (not sure how much that will end up being out of the pods)

D - 4 oz homemade jerk chicken (well, sauce out of a jar - got a great sauce on the weekend at a country sale) with 1/4 cup rice and peas and 1/4 cup green beans, and 1 glass of rose wine

S - Not sure, hopefully nothing since I'm sure the dinner will be filling.

TOTALS: 98g protein, 49g fat, 93 carbs, 1236 calories

Have a great day, everyone!
