Those aches and pains are likely gas, Michelle - they pump your gut full of it to make more room to get around in there during surgery. Walk as much as you're able, that will help. I took a Gas X strip a couple of times as well.

It is not uncommon to have a slightly elevated heart rate or temp after surgery. Your body is in fight mode after the huge insult (surgery) that it has just been put through. Your heart rate can be up due to pain. You got to remember that the gas they put in to do the surgery rises and that could be the pain in your neck/shoulder area. Heck, they broke my toe at some point. Made walking fun post op! All the best!
