Got the call to meet surgeon today and forgot to ask questions cause I was to excited.
So I'm meeting Dr Rotstein on June 5th and it's going to be at TWH.
she told me that I'm going to be there from 1-2 hr's, Just wondering what I should expect? what he is going to ask me? and if anyone has had this Surgeon before?
I didn't have the same surgeon, but for my surgeon's appointment, I was at the hospital for about 3 hours. I met with a nurse at first who took my vitals, went over the paperwork for OptiFast and what to do etc... Then I waited almost an hour, and the surgeon's resident came in and took a medical history and went through the process and answered any questions I had. Waited another 20 minutes and saw the surgeon. At that point, all my questions were answered and he told me how many weeks of OptiFast I'd do, signed some (permission) paperwork, and we shook hands and that was that. I think I was with the surgeon for a total of 5 minutes. But I was there for 3 hours. Bring a book :)
Hi there - you're in good hands with Dr. Rotstein - he was my surgeon. I'm 6 weeks post-op now and doing quite well. He will tell you about the surgery, what he does, how long it takes, etc. etc. I don't remember if he asked me any questions - i had questions for him which he answered. He's very nice and has a good bed-side manner which I appreciate. He'll probably give you an expected date for the surgery. If you have questions you're thinking about already, write them down so you don't forget because chances are, you'll forget when you go in to meet with him. They will weigh you to determine how many weeks of Optifast you'll need to be on. If you have any other questions, just hit me up. Glad to be of any help if I can!
