Twenty years since I last seen 199 on my scale!
I had surgery on Feb 10th and today I see 199 on the scale and embarrassingly I checked probably 3 to 4 times just to make sure I was actually seeing 199. It has been 20 years since I last seen these kinds of numbers!
Still can't believe I made it to onederland.
Everyone on these boards have been so supportive and encouraging. So Thank you all!
Kimber,
First of all Thank you. Wow 55 pounds is great! Congrats....and I know what you mean....just 3 months ago a hundred pounds seemed so far off and now that I am half way there it seems so much more achievable. I go next Wednesday for my 3 month check up.
I wish you all the best too on your journey!
Take care, Tara
Thank you :-)
I know it's crazy. But we are doing it!!
How are you doing with the foods? I'm doing good, but I haven't ventured to far out with meats etc. I feel very safe with chicken/turkey. I have eaten ground beef and that's about it. I'm not a fish eater. And I've heard the steak and pork are hard to digest so I haven't tried them yet. Have you eaten salad yet? I want to try it but again I'm worried as I've heard it can be tough on you.
Foods have been going down pretty well....though I do admit I wish they I was having more difficulty with food. Cereal is actually the food I have the most difficulty with. As far as meats go...I don't dabble in the beef yet...but eat a lot of meat and chicken. Pork goes down alright especially when I have cooked it in the crock pot with a can of cream of mushroom soup. Chicken though sometimes is too dry for me. Salad is something I can't wait to eat regularly but I am nervous about it. I have been trying it little bit at a time and so far so good. I have been eating a lot of shrimp and scallops too. Are you able to get all of your protein in during the day.
Tara :)
I do well with the protein. I eat a lot of Greek yogourt and cottage cheese. I have to as I haven't been able to stand protein shakes from the start.
I haven't eaten dry cereals only oatmeal and cream of wheat. I don't eat them very often though. I ate them more in the first few weeks. I haven't tried any breads or pastas etc. I don't even want to go back there.
I have just been able to start eating eggs...AGAIN...I seem to be able to tolerate them one week and then the next I can't. I can only eat 1/2 an egg at a time though. I find them heavy.
I can eat frozen strawberries no problems, but fresh ones? NO WAY!! I felt so horrible when I had a fresh one. Weird. Those are the only two things so far I have had that I haven't been able to tolerate.
