if you could choose

I would have chosen to have the VSG because i was taking anti-imflammatories for my arthritis, but my surgeon recommended against it because as it turned out, i had lots of ulcers in my throat due to the amount and duration of the NSAIDS i was taking. He said that the VSG would squeeze acid back up into my throat and that would not be good for the ulcers.

I had RNY and now cannot take any NSAIDS and my pain level, even after losing 75lbs, is worse than it's ever been :-(
