Twitchy muscles/Exercise
My legs do that after the treadmill and eliptical - it's a popping sensation - very strange!
I just googled it and it's quite common - here is something that may answer your quesiton:
Benign fasciculations or muscle twitches after exercise is surprisingly common. After the muscles have undergone an intense workout, biochemical changes take place as the muscle responds to the stress of exercised Lactic acid builds up in the fatigued muscle and formation of free radicals occur which believe can alter the excitability of muscle tissue. Endurance athletes and runners are particularly prone to the type of free radical formation that can lead to muscle twitches after exercise. Eating more antioxidant rich foods may help to reduce exercise related muscle twitches, although there are no studies to document this.
Hope this helps!!

Katie, I can tell you this is a definite YES, as I used to do strength training with a trainer 2010-12, and I would often get twitchy muscles and it could last for a few hours. Not to say you couldn't need vitamins, but I wouldn't be alarmed. The twitchy feeling was weird but also made me feel like I'd done some good work. I kind of can't wait to get back to that!
