Hi I am a newbie scheduled for Roux-en-Y April 17th. Currently Optifasting and having some explosive toilet issues. Any suggestions?

Some clinics suggest sugar free metemucil capsuls, 2 per shake.  That may help with some of the issues.

Hoping you have a textbook surgery!

I found I could not put anything with artificial sweeteners in it or it made it worse. I was told to use Benefiber. Did not help a lot. There is a saying on here. Never trust a fart. Would you like to be added to our surgery list?

I can't remember about ketosis. I think it was a few days. I am curious where you are having your surgery?

Having surgery at Ottawa Civic Hospital   April 17.    pre surgery visit April 2, to get info re meds etc

How long did it take from meeting the surgeon in Ottawa to getting your date? I am out of Kingston and still waiting for my date in Ottawa. THanks

Time period from meeting surgeon  to getting date approx 2mths.

opti-trots, very good, funny.  Do you know just when a person can expect to start dropping a few pounds, while on opti.   have been on opti for 5 days now and nothing, well perhaps one maybe 1-1/2 lbs . 

With what's going on in the back end, kinda afraid to fart, never mind leaving the house.  I know that your laughing, I can tell.
