Just so everyone knows there is a facebook site for Durham. They are called the "Rouge Valley Gastric Bypass Support Group" But I don't think they meet often

Two groups in Durham organized via closed Facebook pages. Rouge Valley Gastric Bypass Support Group which trying to meet monthly for coffee - next is this Thursday I believe. Other group is smaller Durham Bariatric Support Group and usually meet monthly at a members home. PM me if you want more info.

Thanks for all the responses. Yes this sounds great we should all get together. I have a great support system of friends and family, but if would be nice to seat down with people that are on the same journey. I'm available every evening but Mondays.

I definitely want to be part of this...but...not available Tuesday nights because I want to attend the O/A meeting in Oshawa at 7:30pm Tues. I will make myself available any other day/night but Tuesday.

Dr.Posner (my Psych consult) recommended that I attend O/A to help avoid relapse & self sabotage after surgery. Thursday anyone?????
