Went to Humber yesterday for pre op and while there I find out my surgery date that was booked for the 9th is now the 14th, Yes, I know it's only 5 days but still I was excited doing the countdown for Opti and 5 days makes a difference, I know suck it up "Buttercup" I will and am.

Can anyone tell me how to change the O.R date I have on my profile here, it won't change no matter what I have done..LOL

sorry to hear.. it wont matter in a month :) Ypour date reflects the new date.. might just not have refreshed on your end.. a cookie thing!

Referral Date: May 29, 2012; TWH Orientation: June 19,2012; Nurse Practitioner Group Session and Social Worker Initial Assessment: September 25, 2012; Nurse Practitioner One-on-One and Psych. Assessment: January 18, 2013; Met with surgeon: March 8, 2013; Pre-Op scheduled: June 20,2013; Surgery scheduled: July 17, 2013! Surgery Completed!

I agree about the date change, but it happens. Be glad for only 5 day try 2 months. I had already started my Opti when I got the call. Feb 4 to April 2. It's been ok though..better weather. Good luck.

I've heard people being delayed for a month or more, after herring a date, for whatever reason. The five days will fly by!

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
