Thanks everyone!  so overwhelmed with support!  I'm looking forward to searching through all the posts and being a sponge!   

i'm thinking i'll be going to Hamilton General for the clinics and surgery,  I was referred to them before about 6 years ago, and I didn't think I was ready for the surgery yet.  i'm assuming i'll be going to the same place.   Do you think its safe to call them directly at Hamilton General?  who else would I call to confirm that my referral got to the right place? 

I'm a little disappointed that it could take so long for this all to happen.  but I guess you can't rush a good thing right?

It would be Hamilton St Joes I believe, that's were I am in the program.  You can call them.  I don't have the number with me but a lot of people here have it.  Just request.

Welcome, Scott - glad you are on the road to a better life!  The physical stuff gets way better after surgery.  Sounds like you've got your priorities straight and you're ready for a change!
