8 months out today! It is crazy how time flies. I am down 89 lbs (100 from the highest weight I ever saw pre referral)..I am -49 inches. I used to fit into 3x shirt and 20 pants...now in a med shirt and 10 pant. I am still a bit swollen in the belly from my hernia operation 3 weeks ago but I am otherwise feeling much better. Would like to be down another 20-30 lbs before my 1 year in July. Even with some complications, I will never regret having this surgery..the things this tool gave me back are priceless..and I feel very fortunate to be given such a gift! Just as soon as I am allowed I will continue on with my 10k training...sitting around healing is a nightmare. All I can think about is running! (who would have thought I would have said such a thing 8 months ago) Onward and downward they say!

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
